My interest in photography comes from a history of pencil and pen&ink drawing. I purchased my first film camera from a pawn shop and taught myself b&w photography more than 10 years ago. From the photographs I took I would then draw them to a much larger scale, but as I became better at photography I realized I really enjoyed it too. So much in fact the pencils and ink have been put away for several years and the art photography has replaced drawing as my chosen art form.
Whether it is shooting landscapes, sporting events, or a portrait session, my history in art allows me to "see" differently and capture a unique view and real emotion. Whether it is laying down in the dirt, climbing to the top of a rock, or spending extra time with a shy child- I do what it takes to Capture Light and Emotion.
